There aren't a lot of current "folk" artists who I would admit listening to. But this guy's music is so good and so soulful that I think there are a couple people out there who would totally dig him. The Tallest Man on Earth is a Swedish folk musician who is awesome. It's official. Sweden + Folk Music = Awesome (at least in this case.) Please check it out and enjoy. The video is from a show in NYC. While he was waiting for the venue to open (he played a show with Bon Iver) he went into the legendary Music Inn (musical instrument shop) in Greenwich Village. The owner let him borrow a guitar and he started to play. Pretty cool stuff and sounds great too.
